Simple Present.

I.              USES:
·         Use the Simple Present to express the idea that an action is repeated or usual. The action can be a habit, a hobby, a daily event, a scheduled event or something that often happens. It can also be something a person often forgets or usually does not do. E.g.
I play tennis
They travel all weeks
·         The Simple Present can also indicate the speaker believes that a fact was true before, is true now, and will be true in the future. It is not important if the speaker is correct about the fact. It is also used to make generalizations about people or things. E.g.
Cats like milk
California is in America

III.            RULES
·         You should add an “S” when you are talking about he, she or it in affirmative sentence e.g.
She runs
He plays
·         Verbs ending in “s, sh, ch, x” add a “S” at the end to form the third singular person e.g.
She fixes,
he goes
she misses
·         When “Y” follows a consonant we change the “Y” into and add “ES” e.g.
She copies
she studies
he tries
·         Verbs ending in “Y” following a vowel obey the usual rule e.g:
